Understand what the perceived barriers to walking are
Use Event Posters to promote the WAG to those interested in walking.
Use refreshments and informal surroundings as incentives
Provide information about walking, routes, buddy scheme
Make sure exisitng walkers are included too - as adovcates to share their experiences.
Capture email contact details for all walkers/ potential walkers so you can set up regular email communication
Arrange a brainstorming session with existing walkers and key people to discuss possible incentives
Consider arranging a lunchtime walking group - guided 25-30 minutes walks that employees can take part in.
Consider arranging an inter department challenge - points awarded dependig on miles walked by members of that dept.

Consider running a walking safety session.
